Yadpad

Your AI second brain

The notebook that
organizes itself.

Jot down a thought. Yadpad's AI tidies it, files it where it belongs, and links it to everything related, growing a personal wiki as you go. Every note stays as plain Markdown in storage you own, so it is yours to read, move, or keep forever.

What is Yadpad?

A second brain that an AI keeps tidy for you. You capture; it organizes, cross-links, and consolidates. The difference from every other note app: your notes never live on our servers. They sit in cloud storage you already own and control.

A look inside

From a passing thought to a filed, linked note.

Features

Organized for you. Owned by you.

You own the storage

Connect an account you already have. Yadpad writes your notes there and nowhere else, as plain Markdown you can open, edit, or export anytime. Our database holds your account, never a single note.

A wiki that builds itself

The AI connects related notes with [[wikilinks]] and keeps a running index, so your notes grow into a wiki instead of a pile.

Filed the proven way

Every capture lands in the right PARA folder. No decision to make.

Ask your notes anything

Ask in plain language, get an answer with citations to the exact notes it came from.

One app, everywhere

The same Yadpad runs on Android and in any browser, from one codebase, always pointed at your storage.

Nothing saves without you

Every AI change is a diff you review first. Approve it and it lands as a single, traceable version in your storage.

Private by design

Your thinking stays between you and your storage. We never need to read it.

How it works

Three steps, and every one leaves you in control.

  1. 01

    Capture

Jot a note, paste a link, or dump a half-formed thought. No folder to choose, nothing to tag.

  2. 02

The AI files and links it

It cleans up the writing, files it with PARA, and cross-links it into your wiki. You see the change before it lands.

  3. 03

    Own it, and ask it

Each change is one version in your own storage. Ask questions, consolidate over time, keep full control.

Good to know

The questions people ask first.

Where are my notes actually stored?

In cloud storage you own and connect: a GitHub repository, Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive. Yadpad writes there directly. Our database only holds your account.

What happens if I stop using Yadpad?

Nothing happens to your notes. They are already plain Markdown files sitting in your own storage. Keep them, open them in any editor, or move on. No export, no lock-in.

Do I need to know Markdown or Git?

No. You write in plain language and the AI handles the structure. The notes just happen to be saved as portable Markdown, which is what keeps them yours.

Can anyone at Yadpad read my notes?

No. Your notes live in your storage, not ours. The app reads and writes them on your behalf through the storage you connected, and nothing is copied to our servers.

Which storage can I connect?

GitHub, Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive today. The storage layer is pluggable, so more providers are on the way.
